Chakras can be described as energy wheels or vortexes in our etheric body where there is dense concentration of universal life-force (kundalini). This energy influences and results in concrete experiences on the physical, psychological and spiritual levels of our existence. Everyone has a life-force/kundalini energy filled-up to a particular degree. In everybody the chakras are active to a degree and can be felt if one is acceptable to sensing subtle feelings - either in a pleasant way or in a distorted and unpleasant way.
There many systems and theories in different cultures of the world about the different chakras and energy channels in the body. For instance, the Hindu system identifies 7 primary chakras, while the Tibetan Buddhist system speaks just of 5. Yet others systems explain 3, 9 and even 18 primary chakras.
The essential thing we need to understand is that chakras and energy channels are not a mechanical system of pipelines and vents in our body through which energy streams but are very unique individual energy nodes (nadis) on the physical, psychological and spiritual levels. Simply put, everybody has a little different experience of the chakras in their body.
With this in mind, I wish to use a description of the chakra energy that many individuals can relate to. It is based upon the Tibetan Buddhist chakra system that acknowledges 5 primary chakras.
When the head chakra is open we feel spiritual happiness, have deep insights about the nature of truth, clearness of idea, clairvoyance, exceptional concentration and visualization capabilities, imaginative concepts as well as spiritual visions.
When the head chakra is obstructed we experience unfavorable ideas, megalomaniac concepts about ourselves, minimal concepts about truth, anxiety, absence of creativity, failure to focus, exhaustion and head-aches. We might also experience learning conditions like ADHD or dyspraxia. Physical signs of the head chakra suggested disease around the head and the brain.
When the throat chakra is open we have the ability to interact remarkably and convincingly, we have plenty of pleasure in communication and we take pleasure in the exchange with other individuals.
When the throat chakra is obstructed we feel shy, we might stutter, we find it hard to reveal ourselves, we feel nervous, stressed out and experience performance stress and anxiety. We might also have a voice that sounds undesirable to others or we might use nasty and aggressive language. On a physical level an obstructed throat chakra shows discomfort and health problems around the throat.
When the heart chakra is open we feel at ease with ourselves and the world. Whatever we focus on looks beautiful and we can love everybody without prejudice. We feel a deep sense of function and know that we are the best place at the correct time. On the greatest level an open heart-chakra causes the union with the divine.
When the heart chakra is closed we might feel unfortunate, turned down, lonesome, depressed and filled with self-pity. There is strong sense that things are not going the way they ought to and that something vital is missing out in our life. Similarly, we might be cold-hearted, terrible and mean. On a physical level an obstructed heart chakra shows discomfort and health problems that are centred in the chest.
The stomach chakra lies in the upper part of our abdominal area a bit below the rib-cage. When this chakra is open we feel very tranquil, calm and without worry. There is a sense of belonging and security that makes us feel safe.
When the stomach chakra is closed we worry exceedingly and we cannot 'absorb' the sensual stimuli that comes our way. Whatever we confront, upsets us. We might feel very uptight and mean. On a physical level an obstructed stomach chakra suggests discomfort and diseases that are centred in the upper abdominal area.
The navel chakra lies in our lower abdominal areas. When it is open it fills us with a sense of power and skills. People with an open navel chakra succeed in what they doing. They feel great in every way - originationg from the sexual energy - and nave no sexual obstacles. On a greater level an open navel chakra can stimulate supernatural capabilities.
When the navel chakra is closed we feel weak, nervous, depressed and not able to make any development in our life. We might also experience sexual dysfunction and we are normally under-confident. Or we might be on an egotistical power journey and ruthlessly and greedily attempting to satisfy our own needs alone. On a physical level an obstructed navel chakra suggests discomfort and health problems that are centred in the lower abdominal area.
Chakra change means life change - or the other way round - if we want our life to change we need to change our chakras initially and the 'outdoors world' will follow.
In order to fix a distortion in our chakras and accomplish chakra recovery we need to unwind very deeply. Any inner image that assists relaxation like a flower opening out from the chakra or a wave of water streaming in and out from the chakra will help to let go of any sort of distortion that has developed in that chakra. Nevertheless, we must understand that chakra opening is primary a task of the mind and just secondarily of the body. It is our restricting beliefs and mindsets that have triggered all the issues in our chakras. So, we must be prepared to take a look at these mindsets then let them go.
The best therapy for all restricting mindsets and beliefs is love. For that reason, sending out love into every chakra will bring them to their most gorgeous opening and eventually to the union with the divine.
